J-Wonn is a Jackson, Mississippi–born singer, songwriter, and producer who has become one of the most recognizable voices in modern Southern Soul. Raised in a musical household and rooted in gospel traditions, he discovered his gift for singing early on, blending church influence with the blues and R&B sounds that surrounded him.

He rose to prominence in 2013 with his breakout single “I Got This Record,” a heartfelt ballad that quickly became a Southern Soul favorite and launched his career.
